Meet our Doctor

Dr. Corey M. Vollink

Born and raised in Michigan, I spent most of my first 20 years along the shores of (and in) Lake Michigan.

My next 10 years were spent on active duty in the United States Air Force (USAF).  Tours of duty included: Texas; South Korea; Nevada; Oman/Saudi Arabia; North Carolina; and back again in Nevada.  I worked first as a military police officer; later as a heavy weapons instructor readying our troops for desert deployments.  During this decade, I came to more fully understand and respect the importance of self-discipline and attention to detail.  I also came to understand educational concepts to include the basic concept of side-by-side (vs. top down) learning . . . and in the process I began to understand myself to a greater degree.  This decade and those experiences have shaped me and my work.

In my early 30’s, athletic and work injuries accumulated in such a manner that it became painful to hold my 2-yr. old daughter while standing upright.  I lacked the stability and the confidence to perform this simple and loving task.  This was unacceptable.  I sought as many options in care that I could identify and along that path met an amazing Chiropractor.  He taught me the effects of accumulated trauma/micro-traumas and was able to progress me out of pain, and into stability with the collective help of Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, and other modalities. Paying attention to where someone is, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally, gives weight to where they are and acknowledges the journey that led them to their present. Understanding this is vitally important to their future success and outcomes. This has been immense for my growth process not just as a father, but also as a veteran, and a chiropractor.

So . . . in my early 30’s, married with 2 preschool-age children, I committed to 6 straight quarters of college to finish my undergraduate degree, then an accelerated 3-½ year post-graduate program to become a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC).

Now, in the last decade, my knowledge of Chiropractic care has grown exponentially. I have had some exceptional mentors through my careers both in the military and in Chiropractic. Being able to resource the vast amount of knowledge these mentors have acquired along their paths has been integral in making me the Chiropractor that I am today.

At CV Chiropractic, Chiropractic services are offered. I am registered with Kootenai Health so any images requested will be accomplished through the hospital as to bridge the gap between outside providers and the local community primary care providers. We have recently added Massage Therapy to the office. Please come see us for more information.

I would be honored to work with you.
